소개
1948년에 의사 겸 성악가 테너 이인선 선생에 의해 창단된
최초의 민간 오페라단으로 대한민국 최초로 오페라 ‘라 트라비아타’를
공연하였고 ‘카르멘’등 수많은 오페라를 국내에 처음으로 보급하였다.
3대 단장(최승우)의 취임과 동시에 그 역사와
전통을 이어서 대한민국 오페라의 역사를 새롭게 써나가고 있다.
Chosun Opera Company, Korea’s first private opera company, was founded by a doctor and a tenner singer, In-Seon Lee in 1948.
It was first to perform Opera La Traviata in Korea and introduced many opera works to Korea, including Opera Carmen.
Since the inauguration of its 3rd director Seung U Choi, it is rewriting the history of Korean Opera while inheriting the company’s long history and tradition.
